Job Vacancy: Project Manager (QLD)

Fabritecture is recruiting for a full-time Project Manager. This is a role with a huge amount of opportunity for the right candidate.

Swap the 50+ hour weeks for a job 10 minutes from the beach working on high end architectural projects in a professional, family friendly, Australian owned business. You will be responsible for managing jobs which could range from smaller roof and facade projects through to architecturally designed multi-million-dollar structures.

The role needs someone who is an all-rounder and understands the design and construction process, working directly with clients or top and mid-tier builders. You will use your expertise in the execution and delivery of various projects ranging from smaller roof and facade structures through to architecturally designed multi-million-dollar projects.

Qualifications: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or similar onsite exposure
Experience: 3+ years in a similar role managing end-to-end projects

The Ideal Candidate

Core Components of the Role

  • Managing design, planning and procurement 
  • Review and interpretation of construction drawings  
  • Responsibility for project budget tracking and performance
  • Understanding of contractual requirements 
  • Identifying and managing variations 
  • Negotiation and relationship management with suppliers and clients
  • SWMS, quality manuals and construction methodologies
  • Overseeing onsite team during project installation  
  • Submitting progress claims, invoices and managing payment and retentions
  • Some travel will be required to attend sites

What We Need From You

  • 3+ years in a similar role managing end to end projects  
  • Australian Project Management experience
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or similar onsite exposure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Knowledge of structural steel or architectural projects
  • Microsoft Project, and CAD experience desirable
  • A practical solutions-focused approach
  • Understanding of working at heights requirements 
  • A positive attitude and be self-motivated
