Royale Gold Coast

Royale Gold Coast is a landmark beachfront residential tower located on Northcliffe Terrace in Surfers Paradise, designed by DKO Architecture and constructed by Hutchinson Builders for developer DD Living.

Rising 38 storeys above the coastline, the sculptural tower has been carefully shaped to maximise ocean views while drawing architectural inspiration from the form of the native pandanus palm.

Fabritecture was engaged to design and construct the aluminium-clad crown structure that caps the building, delivering a precision-fabricated architectural element that completes the tower’s distinctive silhouette. The scope involved the design, fabrication, and installation of a powder coated aluminium cladding system supported by a galvanised and painted steel substructure, forming the upper dome that sits above the building’s roofline.

Spanning a total plan area of approximately 2,465m² with a surface area of around 1,963m², the structure required careful coordination with the building’s architecture and construction sequencing to ensure accurate geometry and seamless integration with the tower’s façade.
