As part of the development of Macquarie Point Mulitpurpose Stadium, Fabritecture designed the steel, ETFE, and netting systems for a full-scale roof test rig.
The structure allowed stakeholders to evaluate light diffusion and overall roof performance ahead of the proposed stadium. This testing ensures performance, visibility and durability requirements are understood before construction moves forward. In early March 2026, Cricket Tasmania held a training session with the Tasmanian Tigers men’s program, using the test rig to assess shadowing in a live environment ahead of further major developments. 26052
