Custom secondary steelwork was engineered to integrate with the existing building, which was not originally designed to support a retractable curtain system
The geometry of the curtain was tailored to respect sports run-off zones, ensuring compliance and player safety
The retractable system was designed for simple operation with minimal personnel, prioritising ease-of-use for venue staff
Remote site logistics were carefully coordinated, with both local and Perth-based crews working in tandem
Installation took place largely during night hours, allowing the venue to remain operational throughout the build
