With the arrival of Cat 797 and Cat 793 mine dump trucks, the Hunter Valley Coal Mining site required a solution to accomodate and maintain their vehicles. The client requested the construction of 5 fabric structures – 4 x Supa-Span fabric shelters, and one TFS aluminium-framed fabric structure.
The Supa-Span structures were chosen for their high bays, which allow housing of the mine dump trucks in a tray-up position. Two Supa-Spans were designed with front partial walls, and full rear end walls.
The other two Supa-Spans featured no end walls on either side, to act as a drive-through, undercover workshop. The TFS structure was designed with one full end wall to be used as a storage facility. 12277
