Australia Fair Skylights

Australia Fair shopping centre interior illuminated naturally through Fabritecture’s PTFE skylights.

Fabritecture was engaged to replace eight skylights at the Australia Fair shopping centre in Southport, Gold Coast. PTFE was selected for its ability to diffuse natural light evenly across the interior space, reducing reliance on artificial lighting during daytime hours.

The installation presented challenges due to corrosion in the existing steelwork caused by long-term exposure to the marine environment. Working closely with our installation partners, the Fabritecture team navigated these complexities and delivered a successful upgrade to the centre’s skylight system.
