Job Vacancy: Project Manager (AUS)

Due to ongoing growth and a very positive pipeline of projects, Fabritecture is looking for an experienced full-time Project Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for managing the design and build process for smaller roof and facade structures through to architecturally designed multi-million-dollar projects.

The role needs someone who is an all-rounder and understands the design and construction process, and is comfortable in working directly with clients or top and mid-tier builders.

Qualifications: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or similar (desirable, but not a must have)
Experience: Previous experience managing or or overseeing team members; understanding of working at heights requirements

The Ideal Candidate

Core Components of the Role

  • Manage the design, planning and procurement process
  • Review and interpret construction contracts 
  • Responsibility for project budget tracking and performance
  • Identifying and managing variations
  • Negotiation and relationship management with suppliers and clients
  • SWMS, quality manuals and construction methodologies
  • Overseeing onsite team during project installation
  • Some travel will be required to attend sites

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years in a similar role managing end-to-end projects
  • An ability to be efficient and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Financial acumen in managing budgets
  • Knowledge of structural steel or architectural projects
  • Experience in overseeing team members
  • Microsoft Project and CAD experience (desirable)
  • Understanding of working at heights requirements
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or similar desirable
