Fabritecture Take Home 2 Awards at the ATA International Achievement Awards!!

Bank of Indonesia

Award: IAA Award for Excellence
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Size: 2,651sqm (28,535sqft)
Fabric: ETFE

Encompassing a vast expanse of around 2,700m² (28,535ft²), the Bank of Indonesia ETFE dome stands as an impressive architectural feat.

The selection of ETFE as the primary material was motivated by its remarkable ability to transmit high levels of both light and UV radiation. This characteristic facilitates the infusion of abundant natural light into the area beneath the dome.

In addition to the main dome, the project’s scope included the incorporation of several smaller conical canopies. These canopies, aptly named Water Harvest Canopies, not only added to the project’s overall visual appeal but also synergised seamlessly with its design and operational objectives.

Milwaukee International Airport

Award: IAA Award for Excellence
Location: Milwaukee, USA

Size: 13m x 6m (43ft x 19ft); 21 frames
Fabric: Mesh + PTFE

General Mitchell International Airport (GMIA) in Milwaukee is the gateway to numerous destinations and welcomes the public to the city.
Fabritecture was contracted for the design/engineering, fabrication, delivery and installation of 21 fabric and steel frames to repair existing
decorative panels at the airport.

The PTFE/glass mesh panels measure 43ft by 19ft (13.1m x 5.9m) and are installed on the building face of the parking structure.
